Genesis: Our Team

Leading the team of outstanding medical consultants at the Genesis Professional Health Group are Dr. Sharla Lichtman and Dr. Rochelle Schwartz. Doctors Lichtman and Schwartz were both awarded one of the highest honours in family medicine, a Fellowship in Family Practice for their roles as advocates for physicians
and patients across Canada.

	Dr. Schwartz brings 20 years of experience as a family physician in private practice to the Genesis Professional Group and has a special interest in preventative and proactive medicine. She is well-recognized for her unconditional commitment to excellence in healthcare and to her patients. Dr. Schwartz received her BSc from the University of Calgary and was awarded the University College Gold Medal for achieving the highest academic proficiency in her field of study. She graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto in 1983 and completed her family practice residency at North York General Hospital and Sunnybrook Medical Centre. Dr. Schwartz is currently on staff at North York General and York Central Hospitals.

	Dr. Sharla Lichtman, enjoys a reputation as a highly respected family physician with particular focus on preventative medicine. For the past 18 years, she has dedicated herself to providing top quality excellent health care to all her patients and their families and has taught medical students and residents in her private practice. Dr. Lichtman graduated from McGill University with an Honours BA in psychology and was awarded the James McGill Scholarship for academic achievement. She received her medical degree from the University of Calgary Medical School in 1986, where she received full scholarship through the Nat Christie Medical Bursary Award for academic excellence. Dr. Lichtman completed her family practice residency at Sunnybrook Health Centre in Toronto. She is currently on active staff at North York General Hospital.
