Nutrition while on vacation
BY LISA WEINBERG

Q. We are going on vacation and going to be eating in restaurants for 2 weeks, I am worried about what I am going to eat for breakfasts, do you have any suggestions?
A. Probably the safest choice is to order poached eggs on toast. Yes, it’s okay to eat eggs everyday after all it is fat in food that raises our cholesterol not cholesterol in food and 1 egg does not contain that much fat (only 5 grams each). Order 1 egg with a piece of whole wheat or rye bread and one cup of fruit, as long as the bread isn't buttered you can't go wrong with this one. It is a high protein choice that will fill you up without a lot of calories. For variety, try hot oatmeal on some mornings, but watch the portion and the delicious accompaniments that often come with like dried fruit, brown sugar and cream. You can also order an egg white omelet if you tell them not to use butter or oil in the pan.

Enjoy your trip!
