1. What do you do in the initial three-hour comprehensive health and lifestyle assessment?
First, we spend time reviewing your personal, physical, psychological, social and family history. Second, we then carry out a detailed assessment of your past and present state to determine all of the issues that need to be addressed. Finally, we decide together what steps we can take, now and in the future, to move towards a healthier lifestyle. Throughout the process we address your risk factors and determine how we can help you become proactive when it comes to your health. During your first visit, we also do a comprehensive physical examination, along with blood work, electrocardiogram, vision testing and a hearing assessment. All of the results are compiled and presented in a comprehensive dossier along with our wellness and preventative medicine recommendations.

4. Do I have to see all the team members?
As part of your initial assessment, you are entitled to see three consultants during the year. Every program is designed with each individual's needs in mind. For example, you may not want to see the fitness trainer if you already have one. You may prefer instead to see the dietician more often. You may also prefer to see our social worker at some other point in the year if and when the need arises.

8. Doesn't it interfere with your life to be available to your clients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week?
No one in the medical system knows our clients better than we do. We want to be the ones to advise our patients as to what is in their best interests regarding their health no matter what time of day it is. Medical situations do not only occur between 9 and 5, Monday to Friday. In general we find our clients call us only if there is an urgent medical concern. However, even if their situation is not urgent and they just need re-assurance, then it is our pleasure to speak to them and advise them accordingly.

9. What happens when my doctor goes on vacation?
Dr. Schwartz and Dr. Lichtman cover each other's patients when one of them is away. However, if the doctors are in North America, they try to keep their cell phones and pagers on so their own patients can still reach them.
